What is No Index?

After thinking about how we're being treated as users of the web, I named this site No Index. No index meta tells search engines, "don't analyze my stuff".

We're being indexed and analyzed everyday on every action. Google does it, Facebook does it, everyone and their mom wants to Big Data you.

So, the question becomes not whether you want to or don't want to be indexed, but how you want to be indexed. You're here because you know me, not because you searched for it.
Here's my stuff, let me know if you enjoy it.

New York City – August 2016

I went on a trip to NYC.  It was brief, but fun.  I don’t think I’ve been in a hotter place since Mumbai.

2015, a reflection in music (and some pictures)

Here’s some music and pictures for each month that was 2015.  To be honest, 2015 was quite challenging.  It’s been full of headache from start to finish. One of the lost art in our world is definitely that of a Mix tape. The web let’s you scrap book and mixtape at the same time. Sometimes, its […]

Going to the Forest

Going on a short hike can free up your mind. Look the green moss covered trees, and breathe in the cool clean air.  I can’t ever remember a time that I felt regret after coming home from a hike.

Nostalgia

Reading books by Milan Kundera always give you ideas.   His books most often contain ideas that are already in you.  They’re often the thoughts you’re not willing or ready to accept.

Guide to Seattle

We built something at work recently we’re really fond of.  Its definitely closer to a toy in some sense, but it can help you in a bind! If you’re a Seattleite and looking for things to do in an unknown neighborhood (or you just ran out of options in your own), Seattleite Guide is the […]

Seattle Japanese Garden

I recently went to the Seattle Japanese Garden in the Arboretum.  It was really nice to go to a well maintained garden.  It reminded me of a familiar setting in my childhood.

Time Lapse at Gas Works Park

More Time Lapse!  Gas Works Park is full of people on a nice day.  I really like it there a lot.  Lots of geese, lots of random people watching, and boats!

Tilt-Shift Time Lapse

I’m really digging the time lapse feature on my Sony A7.  Maybe I’m going overboard with it.  Either way, I’ve been playing a lot with both tilt-shift and time lapse.  So here it is combined at the edge of Queen Anne and Fremont.

Lake Ingalls

Last weekend I went on a short backpacking trip up to Lake Ingalls.  Lake Ingalls is located north of Cle Elum.  About 3 to 4 hours from Seattle.  Its not the most strenuous hike so its a great place to back pack for fun.

Seattle Art Fair

Thanks to an awesome client at work, I was able to checkout the Seattle Art Fair last weekend.  Really solid art show. While being its first year, the show was awesome.  It brought in galleries and art from New York and San Francisco that you just wouldn’t see around here. The show was comprised of […]
